Join us this Thursday night as we BURP once more for Christmas ... that's right, we will be presenting a very special Christmas eve presentation on Thursday 24 December. We will be performing to a minimal audience within the COVID-19 guidelines and streaming a performance that includes, short plays, skits, mime and song.
Performance with a “script in hand” is not a new concept for the Playhouse, but streaming a performance is. These relaxed performances have affectionately been dubbed as BURP! Bundaberg’s Unique Relaxed Performances, and they certainly will live up to their name.
BURP! Allows both seasoned and green actors a chance to develop their skills as we make the most of the current COVID-19 situation.
We hope you appreciate the effort, and understand that these performance are not our usual style, but rather something to help you (and us) through until we can perform like we normally do.
Let’s hope we have no technical issues with the streaming. Your patience and support is greatly appreciated.
For our final BURP of 2020 The Corona Choir will be singing lots of well-loved Christmas carols and songs that we’re hoping people will sing along to, whether they’re in the theatre or watching the live stream at home.
The night will start with a laugh as Trish Mears’ presents her third play, 'Getting Festive in a Pandemic'.
The Christmas Eve BURP is on from 7.30pm on Thursday 24 December.
Tickets are free and are available at the door at The Playhouse Theatre, 2B Steffensen Street, West Bundaberg. Patrons are urged to arrive by 7.15pm as they will need to check in and adhere to COVID guidelines.
Otherwise your option is to watch from the comfort of your home. The Playhouse Theatre live stream will start at 7.25pm on the Playhouse Theatre Bundaberg
