    of Country

We acknowledge that the land that we gather and perform on is the traditional country and homelands of the Taribelang Bunda, Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, and Bailai Peoples of the Bundaberg region.

We acknowledge they have walked, cared for, sung, told stories and danced on this land for thousands of years. We acknowledge and respect their spiritual relationship, cultural heritage, beliefs and connection to this land, and it is still important to their descendants of today.

We acknowledge the Elders, those here today and those who have passed back into the great dreaming.

    Directed by Bob Adams.

Bob has fond memories of both directing and acting in pantomimes which was a Players annual tradition.

"The wicked villain is much more fun to play than the good guy," Bob said. "As Baron Hickory in Hickory Dickory Dock 1996, I was terrorising the audience when a little girl in the front row ran screaming from the theatre with Grandma chasing her."

Sherry Barnes' favourite memory from Sleeping Beauty was when a Dad had to take his little boy home at interval - he was so frightened of the Wicked Fairy he refused to go back into the theatre - the little boy that is, not the Dad!
